This fully air-conditioned, insulated modified refrigerated container has been converted into the best core cutting facility on the market. Available as a permanent fixture or to be used as a portable cutting station, trays are loaded with core to be cut and then exit out of the other end, ready for sampling.

The PVC strip curtains prevent flies and help to keep the cool air inside the container.

There is a roller door on the side, which is perfect if the team is short-staffed, as one person can cut and sample at the same time by positioning the pallet and empty cage behind them. Having a roller door on the side, also make it possible to easily lift out the core saw with a forklift if you ever want to re-purpose the container in years to come.

1. A more prominent START marking to avoid mistakes when placing the core into the tray.

2. 5mm additional height around the external wall to ensure safer stacking whilst holding broken cores.

3. 3 indents for strapping – on each side to ensure maximum security during transport and handling.

4. ID, TY, FR, TO marked on the tray handle for your notes. There is an embossed border around it, so your notes would not scratch off during the handling or when trays are stacked.

5. All the core trays come with an Aluminum or RFID-compatible tag slot. The impala 5 side clip has been updated to ensure the RFID tag does not slip out during transport.

6. An additional 5mm gap between trays when stacked – leaving the rib height lower as per customers’ preference.

7. Deeper finger recess at the ends of each row
to enable easy removal of the core.

8. Two Drainage Channels are provided for each row, in the form of two gullies running through the length of the tray.

Black Blade (Sound Dampened)/Grey Blade (Normal)
The Black/Grey blade is used for hard to very hard cores e.g. Magnetite & banded iron. The Green and White Blades are an alternative and are dependent on the composition of the rock.

Green Blade
The Black blade is the first choice for harder materials, but the Green blade is an alternative and is dependent on the composition of the rock. The Green Blade will cut slightly harder material than the Orange blade. Also available as a sound-dampened blade to special order.

Orange Blade
The Orange blade will cut medium to hard material. Also available as a sound-dampened blade.

Pink Blade
The Pink blade is used for very hard to extremely hard core, complementing the Black blade. Note depending on the core the Black blade is better on some core than the Pink is on others.

Silver Blade
Alternative to the Black blade when cutting hard materials. Mainly for iron ore and other very hard materials. Harder and more abrasive material will generally reduce the life of the blade.

White Blade
The White blade is used for hard to very hard cores. It is an alternative to the Black blade and is dependent on the composition of the rock.

Yellow Blade
The Yellow blade will cut soft to medium hardness material with maximum total meters of core cut to each blade. Also available as a sound-dampened blade.
